Kpop Demon Hunters is having a GOLDEN year! The animated film premiered in June 2025, and it hasn’t lost its momentum, earning multiple awards and nominations in its inaugural season, including the 2026 Academy Awards and the Golden Globes.
Despite being sold by Sony Pictures Animation, the powerhouse Kpop film ballooned into a massive, billion-dollar franchise and skyrocketed into the most popular film of all time on Netflix.
Kpop Demon Hunters features a star-studded cast, including Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, Daniel Dae Kim and Lee Byung-hun, and music performances by EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, REI AMI, Andrew Choi and Lea Salonga.
First reported by Bloomberg, a sequel is anticipated for release in 2029.
